About this deal

In the final moments of 1999, they decide they’ll go their separate ways, however at the last second, she wavers. One Day With You" by Shari Low is an intense and emotional story that will definitely elicit a range of emotions from readers. Although the book blurb goes into a bit more detail I don't think I can say more without becoming spoilery. Nancy Jenkins, their outspoken and reliable neighbor is getting her hair done before meeting her first love at a reunion. Tress and Noah go through heartbreaking events, while Nancy and Val keeps a lightheartedness in the story.

When Nate and Liv walked up the aisle, she knew that she was marrying the one, her best friend, and soul mate. Her work is sold in numerous countries around the world, including Russia, the US, Poland, Germany, Malaysia, and Australia. I only hope, if it ever happens to me or to someone I love, that I can remember to forgive and move on. While I had a pretty good idea of where Max was headed, and I also had a feeling about the secrets Anya (in the book, Noah’s wife is named Anya, not Mya, as the synopsis indicates) is keeping, what happens when it is all revealed is earth-shattering.

On the downside, I found that there were too many characters to keep track of, and at times it felt like the story was trying to do too much. It's definitely an engaging read with some sweet moments, but I couldn't help feeling that it could have been better.Who wouldn't want to take the bull by the horns as they sometimes did when people were annoying them. This was an entirely, depressing, complex and sadly true novel, for people who know someone or have experienced the tragedies, highs and lows in their life, as such the characters do in this novel. Suffice it to say that Tress goes into labour unexpectedly and Nancy goes to her school reunion to meet her childhood sweetheart who she hasn't seen for fifty years. I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and Boldwood Books and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.

Shari Low was born in a town close to Glasgow in 1967, where she spent her teen years dreaming about the day she would follow Jackie Collins’ footsteps all the way to a life of decadent glamour and a kidney shaped swimming pool in LA. I was generously gifted this copy by Boldwood Books and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review. And if you enjoy true-life, toe curling moments, then don’t miss my motherhood memoir, Because Mummy Said So. In that time and since, she has published over 30 books, including My One Month Marriage, One Day In Summer, One Summer Sunrise, The Story Of Our Secrets and her non-fiction collection of parenthood memories, Because Mummy Said So. The recurring theme of all time, the lack of commitment in interpersonal relationships that can cause collateral damage of all kinds. Which roughly translates to ‘type, panic, eat a biscuit, type and panic, eat another biscuit, type and panic’, then repeat for ninety thousand words. At the start of the day, no one will realise that at the end of it, their lives will never be the same again.

One Day With You - Chick Lit Central Book Review: One Day With You - Chick Lit Central

I read the blurb and thought maybe I knew where the story was going but it was the journey there that absolutely slayed me. I was worried about the ending, how would she wrap up this complicated love story, but she nailed it. Nancy mumbled, pulling her bag onto her lap and having a rummage, before finally liberating her phone. On this newest quest, she finds a few home truths and must figure out if her marriage is actually worth saving or could there be a new happy ever after out there, just waiting for her. I really cannot recommend this one highly enough - it is unmissable and so easily gets all five singing and dancing stars!

The story takes place over the course of one day and is broken into two hour intervals and told from various POV and is absolutely heartbreaking and painful and there are several triggers but it is well written and does have a happy ending. I needed to know how this was going to play out and I wasn’t disappointed, I cried, I laughed, I was heartbroken and by the end I was hopeful. So very well written and that it evoked this kind of feeling in me is why it prompted me to leave this review. Tress Walker is pregnant; her husband is taking one last work trip before the birth; but when Tress goes into labour, Max can't be found - he isn't where she thought he was.
