Garo steps in to defend Tareo from King the Ripper and Insect God due to a plot to "develop" him by the mysterious leader of the Monster Association. I am not a fan, so most references either went right over my head or did not feel particularly noteworthy to me. Garo meets the kid who had lent him the Hero Guide earlier, and plans to use it again to fight against Death Gatling and a number of heroes. I find it so hilarious when most of them have very serious motivations to invade earth, only to be thwarted by a seemingly uninspired protagonist. As the S-Class heroes plan their attack, Amai Mask insists on joining them rather than leading the support team as the top A-Class hero.
