About this deal

While they are unpacking Nat looks at Hal's drawings - and his face drops - a man in the orchestra drawing looks familiar but it can't be, can it - he's supposed to be dead.

Alex O'Connell, The Times The latest thrilling instalment of the Adventures on Trains series finds Hal and Uncle Nat on the night train to the Arctic Circle - with a sinister figure pursuing the stunning locomotive. The White Ravens represents a selection of international children's and youth literature made by the Internationale Jugendbibliothek in Munich, Germany. Hal's artwork continues to be central to each story, but in this one, I feel there is a real sense of the development of his talent. I was lucky enough to see a story that Sam Sedgman put up saying that the book was on Netgalley and even luckier to be accepted by Macmillan publishing to read early so I can review! But our railway detectives clever intuition and smart ways of conclusion take the assassin by surprise in this most chilling adventure yet!

They are travelling to the Aurora Sky Station in the Arctic circle, to see the Northern Lights for Christmas. Hal and Uncle Nat are channeling their inner James Bond on this high-stakes journey to the frozen north.I highly recommend reading this book and the series as a whole as it is brilliant for all ages who love the genres of mystery and adventure.

Can Hal, his mum and Uncle Nat outwit the enemy in this action-packed, thrilling, chilling, adventure tale? The addition of these details really adds to the story as it is through Hal's considerable skill that the crimes are solved. There are moments of real peril and suspense as the action builds, raising serious concerns for the safety of all involved.Hal and Nat want a quiet trip, but as with previous books that will not be the case, only this time they have another helper. If you're a fan of middle grade, then you can't go wrong with these books - there's something in there for everyone, and the true sense of adventure is outstanding.

A talented artist from the off, he has honed not only his drawing skills over the course of the six books but also his powers of observation and from this his ability to make connections and inferences from what he sees. If you are a fan of music from the nineties or interested in indie record labels, this show might interest you. It feels like this might be the last one of Adventures on Trains - I might just have to go back and start again at the beginning. In Danger at Dead Man’s Pass (book 4 in the Adventures on Trains series), we learned about Uncle Nat’s mysterious past.
