The transformation from Prince Sebastian to Lady Crystallia seems to change the tone of the book as the colors go from dark and dreary to almost electric, full of warmth and energy. This book was SO great and was the perfect balance of simplistic while also hitting such important topics like being gender fluid and acceptance thereof.Frances, unhappy with the way Trippley limited her designs, makes a plan to showcase her more elaborate ones with Sebastian. They have a fashion show where men come out in drag, but the real crazy-sauce is that HIS FATHER, THE KING, whips off his royal outfit and dresses in a huge velvet gown and wearing lot of eyeshadow (very 2018 eyeshadow style as well, I must note) struts down the runway.
