This is a fab book for young children; the story is lovely, and the sound buttons are a great way of involving the child in the story-telling process. I felt they enhanced the story quite nicely, although a lot of people seem to be saying they found it distracting. The sounds themselves are not the most exciting (fox sniffing, owl hooting, tummy rumbling) but they make the story a bit more engaging. I was a little disappointed as it only makes noises of the animals when the music notes are pushed I find it hard to push never mind a four year old.

I loved this addition, as did my 3yr old son, as it introduces an interactive element to story time and promotes active listening.
