About this deal

There were a lot of light gun games on the PS1. The Time crisis games were some of my favorites but its impossible to forget the classic Point Blank Series. All of the Point Blanks 1 – 3 were available on the PS1 as well as in the arcades. Contra Evolution is an unusual one, it's Contra from the iPad which I bought a few years ago and quite liked, despite the on screen controls being absolutely gameplay ruining. Playing it on the big screen is awesome and using a decent control pad makes a world of difference. But as far as the emulator itself, I have no idea what it is? Like, why would Konami release a Contra arcade machine in 2016 that is all 2D and barely pushes the capability of my 4th Gen iPad? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQJ2WsrMR7w Baldric (April 1998). "Time Crisis Review (PS)". Game Revolution. Archived from the original on June 13, 1998 . Retrieved February 19, 2014. A side story to the first Time Crisis game Time Crisis: Project Titan, was released in 2001 for the PlayStation, featuring a new multi-hiding system. I have always enjoyed the yin and yang between Namco and Sega. When Sega created Virtua Fighter Tekken was not far behind. Once Virtua Cop was a hit Time Crisis was not far behind. But while the games were similar Namco always managed to differentiate their titles and in some cases surpass Sega’s effort. I love Virtua Cop but the gameplay mechanics and pacing of Time Crisis just hit harder. Titles like this are why I miss light gun games.

Time Crisis uses either a controller or Namco’s own Guncon. The Guncon replicates the arcade’s controls with a second button that mimics the foot pedal to hide behind cover. The accuracy of the Guncon goes beyond other light guns of that period as it detects shots down to the pixel. This can be frustrating at times as you need to be incredibly precise but that is a minor complaint. Using a controller works but is not ideal. You can manage and the game’s pacing and cover system helps to an extent. But by the middle of the second mission the density of enemies rises significantly. You will need to practice extensively and memorize spawn points to succeed this way. It is doable but not as fun as wielding a gun and sadly probably how most will have to play today. A port of the game for the PlayStation was released in 1997, supported by the newly launched GunCon light gun peripheral, and included an add-on of new stages set after the events of the main story. These events focus on Miller being assigned to investigate a criminal organisation, operating out of hotel that is a front for a munitions factory, and dealing against with its mysterious leader as well. This is where it all started! The first home releases of the Time crisis games were on the PSX. The graphics were great at the time and it was like bringing the arcade home. Time crisis came first and then later Project Titan was released with some cool twists on the game play and improved graphics as the console matured. PS1 light gun games Time Crisis 3, released for the arcades in 2002, focuses on the efforts of agents Alan Dunaway and Wesley Lambert being sent to help thwart the efforts of a hostile nation, who recently took control of a neighbouring country's island, as part of a plan to strike at several countries in its vicinity with tactical missiles. As part of their mission, the pair work alongside Alicia Winston, a local resistance fighter, who seeks to rescue her brother and her men, after they are captured following a failed attempt to destroy the missiles themselves.

Its pretty easy to get up and running with the pcxsr emulator and you will find instructions at that link. With this you can add coins and turn crosshair off/on off screen with the left and right buttons, on screen you can move Left, Right and hide with the left and right buttons. Accurately shoot the exact center of the R found in CRISIS on the main title menu. You will see cross hairs next to the word TIME. Shoot the middle of those twice. You have to be really accurate but if you do it correctly, you will get a cheat menu that will bring up options like extra lives and more. Time Crisis Gun

Over time, the series developed to incorporate additional features of gameplay, including two-player co-operative modes on arcade machines, the ability to use additional weapons in combat, and dealing with dangerous events. Alongside arcade machines, the series was also developed for consoles, beginning with a port of the first installment to PlayStation consoles in 1995, [2] with all ported versions of arcade titles featuring additional content and game mechanics, such as additional stages, and different difficulty modes. The first game in the series is a classic. The graphics aren’t as polished as the rest of the series but it was the first and the light gun game that got a lot of people into the genre. How to play Time Crisis 1 The first installment, Time Crisis, was released for arcades in 1995. [1] Its story focuses on Richard Miller, an agent of an international intelligence agency, as he races against time to rescue the daughter of a newly installed president, from a member of the previous regime seeking to reclaim control of their former country. The game introduced several of the gameplay elements that would form the foundation of the series, including combat sections that had to be completed within a strict time-limit and the cover mechanics, and well as introducing the recurring character Wild Dog, who would feature prominently as a boss character in the main series. If you want to play it now, you can obviously, get a PS1, a Gcon45 and an old CRT tv and you will be up and running in a couple of minutes. If you are buying everything to get up and running, make sure that you get the Namco adapter with your gun. You have to have it (one per console as you can plug multiple lightguns in to one adapter). Its much cheaper to get it with the lightgun and they are hard to source on their own.dlon9 (August 28, 2015).
