At least the pose isn’t exaggerated and as much of an eyesore as with other figures such as Papo’s Giganotosaurus. Although this toy should be identical to its JP3 counterpart it’s really not, but I consider that a good thing. The iconic nasal horn and pre-orbital crests are present and correctly shaped, the shape of the head is correct, the front limbs have the correct number of digits for Ceratosaurus, and finally, there is a row of spikes running down the course of the body and rows of osteoderms on the body, which the animal is known to have possessed. Ceratosaurus means 'horned lizard' and it was a large theropod that lived during the Late Jurassic period around 153-148 million years ago.Characteristics: Ceratosaurus was a slender carnivore with a distinctive large skull with a blade-like horn on its snout and a small horn over each eye. It had very short but powerful arms with four-fingered hands, although only three fingers had claws.

The species disappeared 144 million years ago following the appearance of a formidable predator: the allosaurus. The excitement of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous comes alive with these dinosaur action figures with THREE levels of sound AND a species-specific attack motion. Overall, the paint job is well-applied with no sloppiness (but I do not know if this is only the case for my copy) and it is a very well-chosen colour scheme. That aside, this isn’t too bad at all for a Schleich figure, it certainly seems to look nicer in these photos than the official marketing makes it look. Dinosaurs: With the dinosaurs, tread the Jurassic earth, meet the legendary T-Rex, walk through vast plains with the velociraptor or fly with a Pteranodon.It could be better due to some nitpicks and the pose, but is otherwise one of Schleich’s best efforts in my opinion. As for the details, there are some cracks sculpted on the horn and the crests which look really nice.
