They slightly built up the area just beneath the corner of the Great Hall, giving it a slightly different profile.

Denoising is critical with path tracers like the Cycles render engine, where speeding up the render introduces more noise. There is a lot missing such as Gringotts, Diagon Alley, Nocturn Alley, Hogwarts exteriors, The Burrow, Privet Drive, anduch more. I’m grateful to the deeply skilled drafters who brought these to life, and to the folks who’ve made them available to us fans! The areas closest to the entrance hall and Great Hall (GH on the right) were already feeling fairly locked in, but as you move further and further away, things get less and less certain.This has been up on YouTube for a bit but I’ll include it here in case you’re crazy enough to not have already subscribed there. As I said, I have less progress to share because of my ergonomic issues, not to mention the simple fact that this is a tricky structure to figure out. So, bottom line…these things aren’t as precise as one could wish, and you have to decide which which sources to trust, and that can vary from area to area.

ICONIC LOCATIONS: 260 pages of stunningly detailed blueprints and in-depth commentary on creating the architecture of beloved Harry Potter buildings, homes, settings, and locations, including Hogwarts Castle, the Triwizard Tournament, Hogsmeade, and more. While you (probably) couldn’t build yourself a life-sized Hogwarts just from the blueprints in this book, it’s an excellent starting point for recreating mini versions of the sets or even trying your hand at a Minecraft version. In Prisoner of Azkaban, the conical roofs were replaced with taller belfries and octagonal spires that echo the redesigned central tower, but the lower sections still bear a striking resemblance to Durham Cathedral. Before we get into today’s post, I was asked to share a plan view of the original quad in my model, so…voila!
