The heart of this fragrance features floral and spicy notes such as freesia, pittosporum, ginger flower, tuberose, and hibiscus. Addict is much more woody and dense, this is by comparison has more fruit and flowers, but overall a "dark" or "sultry" composition. It must have been an oversight, and it's a shame, really, because all I see now is the leg of a musty old chair. If you're looking for just one scent to use both day and night, I think this could be a good option and it's very affordable. I'm a huge hater of ginger, but the way it's used here is impeccable, the only thing you get from that note is a warm air of spice that's bold enough to be present but soft enough to be comforting and not cloying.

Someone else recommended it for the 20-30 age group and I don't necessarily disagree, but I'll be 40 this year and I have no qualms about wearing this one!When I've smelt it on other people it's perfect and I fell in love with it, however it just does not agree with my skin chemistry. The projection is good for around half an hour before it settles into a skin scent for another hour and then it's just gone, like totally disappears, can't even smell it if I put my nose right where I sprayed. Edit: Today I layered it with TBS raspberry body butter, it smelled much better and lasted 10+ hours on skin. After seeing the bottle and name I thought it would be darker and spicier so I felt a bit mislead at first but I absolutely love it for what it is. It reminds me of a Christmas type smell like Christmas pot pourri or the smell of Christmas Eve when everyone has their mulled wine out ( I think that's the ginger and orange). So yeah, because the longevity is so poor I truly don’t even want to recommend for anyone to smell it. The subtle sweetness of the fruity opening entwined with the heart of soft spicy notes on a deliciously warm base of musk, vanilla and ginger makes this a deeply alluring and seductive scent.Deep Red had both some of my spirit in it and so far, everyone's found it inoffensive or liked it very much on me. Deep Red is an intense white floral, with just enough spice to give it a twist and make it remarkable. For the busy and active woman, the 90ml spray bottle of Hugo Boss Deep Red Eau de Parfum is an ideal choice. Super weak though :( I used at least 5-6 sprays (usually never go over 3-4 for any perfume) and I can barely smell it at all, though I do have a slight cold so I'm sure that's affecting it. If fragrances had colors, this would be red indeed, and Hypnotic Poison would be the darker red it is.
