About this deal

Daisy then finds out that Luis turned out to be one of two new riders who will join their team the following year. When the racing season begins again, Daisy tries to avoid Luis because she does not want Luis to remember the event that ‘almost collided them while in Brazil. In an effort to prevent Luis, Daisy once again finds herself almost bumping into him. And of course Luis then remembers her, and again the war of their words begin. Oh I love him!! How she dare to love him too! He's mine" ("she" is actually his girlfriend!!! FOR GOD'S SAKE) I looked outdoors for a minute, and it’s very romantic outdoors. There’s a bird on the lawn that I think must be a nightingale come over on the Cunard or White Star Line. He is singing away… It’s romantic, isn’t it Tom?”

Daisy then starts getting feelings for Luis defending his racing against Simon and telling him in the end it wasn't his fault. It's so sad when he cries on her. Luis really cleans up his act for her and it's funny how they wind each other up. I hate it when she's referring to herself as a screwdriver can't she still not see how much Luis loves her. Though she knew he already had a girlfriend, she could not stay away from him. They both fall in love, and Will decides to end his relationship with Laura, his girlfriend since teenage years. When I read Chasing Daisy was set in the world of F1 I was so excited to read it. I LOVE Formula One. (A Fernando Alonso fan who likes Seb Vettel but also doesn’t mind Button, if you’re asking). So I was hopeful this novel would give some insight to the world of Formula One and it does, brilliantly, and I loved it.She disapproved of Holly (her best friend) having an affair with Simon (her boss) WHILE SHE DID THE SAME THING!!

They moved with a fast crowd, all of them young and rich and wild, but [Daisy] came out with an absolutely perfect reputation. Perhaps because she doesn’t drink. It’s a great advantage not to drink among hard-drinking people. You can hold your tongue, and, moreover, you can time any little irregularity of your own so that everybody else is so blind that they don’t see or care. Perhaps Daisy never went in for amour at all—and yet there’s something in that voice of hers. . . I loved Daisy. From her opening scenes where she’s swearing in Italian I just knew she was going to be a brilliant character and she doesn’t disappoint. She has many secrets which we learn throughout the novel which helps with her character (as well as answering questions from Johnny Be Good) and makes her likeable. Bob Mortimer wins 2023 Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction with The Satsuma Complex Well, I didn’t see my brain but I SWEAR my eyes hurt!! Every sentence made me roll my eyes, it was inevitable (I had a hard time trying to stop doing it). I decided I hate women like this. The Great Gatsby depicts Daisy Buchanan as the physical representation of Jay Gatsby’s dreams of wealth and a better lifestyle — the American Dream. He had a fling with her years prior, but when he left for World War I, she married a high-class man named Tom, with whom she is unhappy. The classic romance novel begins as Gatsby has amassed his own wealth in an attempt to win over Daisy’s heart again. Best Quotes from The Great Gatsby About Daisy The writing meh, the characters awful, the story stupid. It was a torture. This made me think I should start DNF books… I'm guessing that halfway through the book, his and Daisy's eyes-meet-across-a-crowded-room, hearts go pitter-patter and suddenly she doesn't know what to do. He hadn’t once ceased looking at Daisy and I think he revalued everything in his house according to the measure of response it drew from her well-loved eyes. Sometimes, too, he stared around at his possessions in a dazed way as though in her actual and astounding presence none of it was any longer real. Once he nearly toppled down a flight of stairs.”

When I started with this book, I genuinely expected to like it. And now, not even half way through, I'm mad, because quite honestly, it is NOT a good work of fiction. Her face was sad and lovely with bright things in it, bright eyes and a bright passionate mouth, but there was an excitement in her voice that men who had cared for her found difficult to forget: a singing compulsion, a whispered ‘Listen,’ a promise that she had done gay, exciting things just a while since and that there were gay, exciting things hovering in the next hour.” The story was set on several different country because Daisy works as a front-of-house girl in hospitality and catering for a Formula 1 team, so she goes all around the world wherever the team would race with 2 gorgeous hot racers who she had a crush for one of them at hate for the other. . THE ONE WE FELL IN LOVE WITH was selected for the Zoella Book Club and Paige Toon’s novels have been published across the world. There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his dreams—not through her own fault but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion… No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart.” Daisy keeps getting funny feelings watching the races and can understand in the end why Laura didn't watch many races of her boyfriends. I don't hate Laura but I love it when Luis describes her charity do as boring as he'll. I like Luis.

The prologue tells Daisy’s first encounter with Luis and their quarrel. Daisy feels Luis almost run over her car, while Luis thinks Daisy is an incompetent driver and almost scratches his expensive car.

That’s when Daisy and Luis again renew their friendship; after all, Luis is a person who is very trusty of Daisy and always makes her cheerful. While Luis does not want to miss the opportunity to approach Daisy, he drags her to lunch and charity events filled with important people who sponsor their teams. And while in Brazil he brings Daisy to meet with his extended family. Daisy Rogers works in the hospitality department of one of the teams following the F1 race. Her job is to provide food and drink to the team members and their sponsors. While performing this task Daisy crosses paths with Luis Castro. Not a nice meeting because Luis almost hit crashed Daisy with her scooter. Instead of apologizing, Luis accuses Daisy of being an incompetent driver and just unplugs her. Second, I absolutely hate infidelity. I was wary when I read about Daisy and Will. Daisy knew she shouldn't go for Will because he had a girlfriend and she repeatedly told herself that, but she still continued on anyway. Then, she disapproved of Holly having an affair with Simon. Daisy was very immature, hypocritical, and just plain annoying. She was upset at Holly for keeping her affair a secret even though she didn’t tell Holly her secret about Johnny Jefferson also? I though I was going to love this book, just like I loved Paige Toon's last two books. It showed promise and after reading the prologue and the first chapter I was well and truly set on the notion that I was going to enjoy the book. Boy was I wrong. Daisy has been dumped, unceremoniously jilted. Not by any ordinary guy, no... Daisy has a secret in her past that she won't even tell her best friend, Holly. She's given up on men - and on her own family. But life still has to be lived and where better to recover than as far away from home as possible.
