About this deal

We bought the Worry Plaque for our daughter who has Aspergers and suffers with anxiety. It is hung on her wall beside her bed. I would highly recommend it for children with any form of stress or anxiety. She says she feels calmer when the fairies take her worries away. Such a simple idea but absolutely priceless to us,' mum Susan O'Hara Byrne said.

The plaque is made of plastic, but it’s designed to look like a piece of wood cut from a tree trunk, which I think works really well. In the middle of the plaque is the hand imprint, which is the perfect size for children (it’s just a teeny bit too small for me to comfortably fit my hand in). Pleural plaques aren’t the same as asbestosis and they aren’t a form of cancer. Symptoms of pleural plaquesI think this is a brilliant idea to help children with their worries. When I was younger I remember having worry dolls and I can still remember using them. I do feel that for this to really work your child needs to be a true believer in fairies. This might mean that it is best for younger children. As much as I would like to tell you that we have fairies living in our home the worry plaque requires a little help. Batteries are required for the magic to work, these aren’t supplied. If you have been exposed to asbestos and have no chest problems, there is normally no need to have a chest X-ray or CT scan, unless your health care professional recommends it. The risk associated with exposure to X-rays or a CT-scan is far greater than the benefit of finding out if you have pleural plaques.

Ethan didn’t understand the concept of worries but we haven’t reached a place in his development where we can talk about his worries. He did love the visual colours of the worry plaque which is very positive. I think when Ethan’s understanding and communication have improved the visual side of the worry plaque will be a big help. Arthur has become so much more confident in going to playschool. He is interacting more with his friends and is overall happiness has improved! He isn’t as worried as he once was and when it comes to playschool he simply has no worries at all! This is down to The Magic Fairy Worry Plaque! It also reminds me of the gorgeous Worry Eater soft toys which we’ve found really useful in our house for talking over concerns with our kids. National Institutes of Health: National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. The tooth decay process: how to reverse it and avoid a cavity.

I love that the kids can use the Worry Plaque whenever they like, and Mark has actually been telling me what he told the Worry Plaque, which is a great start to helping ease his anxiety. It gets a huge thumbs up from me and Mark! It’s understandable to be concerned if you are told you have pleural plaques, as this is a sign you’ve been exposed to asbestos in the past. But it’s important to remember pleural plaques are benign (non-cancerous). Enter via the rafflecopter below to be in with a chance to win!
