In fiction, this toy represents a transtector body initially owned by Beast Wars Megatron before coming into Generation 1 Megatron's possession. All twelve points of articulation in this mode are still nice and tight. No parts are falling off my copy of this figure so I'd say the tooling is holding up, at least for this release.
