Zinsser Perma White Mould Resisting Paint, a water-based self-priming acrylic paint, is a speciality paint formulated to resist mould and mildew for up to years. It forms a finish that is unaffected by moisture that weakens ordinary paint films, causing blistering and peeling as well as unsightly mildew. Please ensure the paint is thoroughly stirred before use. Do not use mechanical mixing tools as this might damage the glass microspheres. Touch-dry after 1-3 hours depending on temperature, humidity and airflow. Coverage: Approximately 4 m² per litre (based on 2 coats).These glass bubbles (or spheres as they are also known) create a thermal barrier between the air in the room and cold wall surface once the paint has dried. Another benefit of our paint is that it can be overpainted. Anti-mould and anti-condensation paints that are hygroscopic (meaning they attract moisture from the air) cannot be overpainted. You can apply it to walls, ceilings, window and door reveals, on top of wallpaper and existing paint finishes, however the base must be in good condition or you’ll just be wasting your time and money!
