The Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones are among the best wireless headphones we've ever tested – but their high price means we think there are better-value options in some cases. As mentioned further up, you can’t use the microphone in wired mode, only wireless Bluetooth mode. Water Resistance? The DOQAUS Care 1 headphones have a battery life of up to 52 hours and up to 10000 hours standby time after being fully charged. The Care 1 model from the Chinese manufacturer DOQAUS is a budget set of Bluetooth over-ear headphones that can also be used as wired.
If you're planning to buy headphones to match your existing audiophile kit, such as high-end network streamers or Hi-Res Audio players, look for headphones that use hi-res audio codecs such as Sony's LDAC or the Bluetooth aptX HD and aptX Adaptive codecs. Without them, your audio source won't be able to stream hi-res audio wirelessly at its best quality. Although there are plenty of reasons why we enjoyed testing the Momentum 4 Wireless, it's the battery life that stands out as exceptional, especially compared to the competition. You'll get 60 whole hours, even with ANC on. For comparison, Sony's XM4 wireless headphones at the top of this list, as well as its newer XM5s, offer only half that at 30 hours. Not only is the build fantastic, but the sound is absolutely jaw-dropping for detail, clarity, energy and agility. When compared to the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless above, we found the energy, depth and immersion of the PX8 to put them in a different league. Sonically, they're incredible. Not Recommended For: Music lovers or gamers looking to turn them into a gaming headset with the microphone. If it’s music or gaming you’re serious about, go for something different, as the sound and microphone quality probably isn’t right for you. Overall, the body feels reasonably sturdy but probably not strong enough to take a bit of a bash. Headband and Adjustments
Sony continues to reign with these older cans, which remain fantastic value for sound quality, features and noise cancellation thanks to price drops. The reason we put a question mark is that although they’re not advertisedas water-resistant by DOQAUS, lots of users reported wearing them when running in the rain (heavy rain in some instances) and still having them function perfectly fine afterwards.

The sound quality was ok overall and probably what we would expect from a decent set of budget headphones. The sound was reasonably well-balanced, clear and didn’t have that tinny sound associated with cheap headphones. We found the volume level excellent and went as high as we needed it to go.
